Three months ago, my world underwent a shift as I discovered that I was not only autistic but also living with ADHD; AuDHD. This was both a revelation and a relief, as it explained so much about the way I perceived and interacted with the world. For nearly 20 years I had learnt how to mask near perfectly and be what I was “supposed” to be. Having a bumpy career and not fitting in many places or being told to change I had been confused, disheartened but determined. However my masks started cracking, my central nervous system weak and I was experiencing autistic burnout.

Armed with this newfound self-awareness, I embarked on a journey to embrace my true self, navigating this path unmasked, determined to prove that neurodiversity can flourish even in an industry that often prioritises conformity.
